What can I expect after surgery?

Breast reconstruction can be quite involved. Patients can expect to recover over a period of 4-6 weeks before they feel they are nearly back to normal. Drains are typically used and usually remain in place for 10-14 days. Other specific details will depend on the circumstances of each patient's situation so a consultation with Dr. Kayser will be necessary to address these concerns.

Follow up is very important and patients are encouraged to return to the office within the week, at six weeks, six months and a year. This allows Dr. Kayser to not only address any concerns that a patient may have but also make sure that both short and long term progress has been up to his high standards.

Tell me about credentials - Is there a difference?

Dr. Kayser is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). This organization allows only board certified plastic surgeons in its membership.
