Collagen Injections
What is collagen?
Collagen is a safe and effective method of addressing lines and wrinkles to the face that occur during the aging process. The process is simple and requires very little time with minimal recovery. Best of all, this is a non-surgical procedure and can, therefore, be performed in the office.
How does collagen work?
Unlike BOTOX®, collagen is a product that is part of a broader group of agents called fillers, which also includes Restylane®, Hyalaform®, Juvéderm®, Radience®, Artecoll®, Juvederm® and fat. The basis of their use involves replacing lost volume either from aging, acne or even from excess skin folds by reducing hollows in the face. The results are immediate and can often be dramatic; results usually last from 3-4 months.
